Megan is the Qantas Group Manager Environment and Carbon Strategy, responsible for the development and implementation of long term strategy for Qantas Group entities. This involves engagement with internal and external stakeholder to develop initiatives that build Qantas’ environmental credentials and demonstrate leadership in sustainability. Megan’s role includes managing business risks and corporate reputation, particularly with respect to carbon and sustainability issues, stakeholder engagement, strategic government relations and community partnerships.
Megan is an experienced business development professional in international and domestic environmental markets and policy. Megan is currently a non-executive director of the Carbon Market Institute and the Earthwatch Institute Australia.
Prior to joining Qantas, Megan was specialist environmental markets lawyer in Baker & McKenzie's Global Environmental Markets practice. In this role, Megan developed extensive expertise in international and domestic environmental regulation and policy, advising governments, international agencies, not-for-profit and commercial clients on the design and development of climate change and environmental policy, corporate governance, compliance and transactional issues.
