Jeana Kriewaldt is a senior lecturer in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne. She is also the Senior Leader of Clinical Teaching Practice, overseeing work-integrated-learning programs across the graduate school. She coordinates Transforming Sustainability Education and Geography Education curriculum in the Master of Teaching. Her research focuses on teaching standards, teacher learning and their interrelationships. She is currently investigating the impact of learners’ perspectives in deepening the quality of teacher education programs, and the potential of clinical reasoning and reflective practice in educating in the professions. She was a chief investigator in The Strengthening Standards of Teaching through Linking Standards and Teacher Learning, an Australian Research Council Linkages project. Her expertise in curriculum development is recognised by national curriculum organisations. She was an invited member of the Curriculum Advisory Panel: Geography for the Australian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (ACARA) and the review panel for the senior geography course for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). Jeana began her career in secondary school education and her research in the University sector is applied as a curriculum advisor and author of school textbooks.
