Dr. Imran Ahmad is currently the Director of Future Earth Australia, at the Australian Academy of Science, where he is responsible for leading and developing a global sustainability initiative in Australia and the Oceania region. He is the former Director of East-Asia and Pacific at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Seoul where he lead green growth initiatives in the East-Asia and Pacific region. He is a global expert on climate change and sustainable development and has been involved in leading climate change, energy, environment and sustainable development programs, policies and projects for over 20 years in the Asia-Pacific region. He has a demonstrated track record of achievements in senior management positions in international organizations, United Nations and government. He has been a member of various United Nations expert group.
